Around the world, HAEi Member Organizations arrange events to raise awareness for hae day :-)
We invite you to participate if it’s relevant to you – or get inspired to create an event yourself.

We – HAEi – encourage everyone to participate in all types of activity – physical activities and those helping overall wellbeing. Any activity time reported on this website will be converted into steps, and the total will power us around the World. Regularly participating in activities and recording the time spent will ensure your efforts count. You can also share photos of your activities, earn badges, and join a team if you want to.
In the past, we have generated millions of steps, enough to walk around Earth’s circumference several times. Will you be #Active4HAE and join us this year?

On May 11th, HAE Serbia will organize a hike on Avala Mountain to raise awareness of hereditary angioedema.
Sofija Popovic from HAE Serbia says:
“HAE patients, family members, friends, and anyone interested will be able to join us as we hike Avala mountain, enjoying the beautiful scenery while spreading awareness. Together, we will collect steps and contribute to the global effort to support those affected by HAE.”
“Avala Tower will light up purple as a sign of support for HAE patients. We will take pictures in front of the tower and post them on social media to spread awareness using the hashtag #active4HAE #HAEdemo.”
On 12 May, HAE Turkey hosts an HAE Patient School in Alsancak, Izmir, Turkey.
The event is for HAE patients, healthcare professionals, and anyone interested to raise awareness about HAE, discuss current treatment methods and patient rights. The meeting is available for both face-to-face and online attendance.

In Japan, the Discovery Consortium, along with members of HAE Japan, have arranged a light-up event for hae day :-).
22 venues throughout Japan (castles, hospitals, ferris wheels, etc.) will light up in purple for hae day :-). HAE Japan will get maximum publicity for the events with press releases and TV media coverage.
In addition, the organization will hold a walking event on Sunday, 12 May, during which people will walk together around Osaka Castle and the Nakanoshima area, completing a 4-kilometre walk.
On Thursday, 16 May 16, HAE Argentina commemorates hae day :-) with a talk open to patients and families.

HAE Canada is thrilled to announce that the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada, will light up purple for hae day :-) 2024 and ask everybody to join the organization on May 16 to see the tower purple to raise awareness for HAE.
On 16 May at 9 am, HAE Mexico hosts the symposium “National day of hereditary angioedema – an anthropological view”.
On hae day :-) 16 May, HAE Colombia invites people to participate in the Questions and Answers Panel with Dr. Oscar Correa Jimenez and moderator Juan Pablo Rodriguez from the HAEi Youngsters’ Community.
Attention patients and family members of Espírito Santo!
On 17 May at 10:00 am, there will be a meeting for patients and family members in the auditorium of Dermatology at Santa Casa de Vitória.

ITACA, in collaboration with the A.A.E.E. patient association, is again organizing the third national Angioedema Day on May 18, 2024, to coincide with World Angioedema Day, hae day :-)
Each patient will be able to engage with the managers of the ITACA network referral center to which they belong.
On 19 May, HAE Brazil (abranghe) commemorates hae day :-) with a ‘Metting in the bus event for patients, caregivers, and physicians.
