The community
hae day :-) has been initiated by HAEi but will never be a full success without the support of the steadily growing number of national HAE organizations throughout the world.
We hope that all our Member Organizations will participate in the hae day :-) in whatever way they can. It’s entirely up to you as to what activities are most appropriate in your country.
Some of our Member Organizations have been established for a long time and have a lot of support. Others are perhaps just starting out. For those relatively new to awareness activity, these are some simple steps you can take to alert and enlist the support of the HAE or rare disease community in your country.
E-mail/letter to people with HAE
This is a template letter/e-mail you can use to alert your members or HAE community in your country that it is hae day :-) and ask if they might be able to help you with any awareness activity you are planning.
E-mail/letter for physicians
This is a template letter/e-mail you can use to alert doctors in your country that it is hae day :-) and ask if they might be able to help you with any awareness activity you are planning or if they could perhaps display some HAE awareness information in their clinic or doctor’s office.
E-mail/letter for other rare disease organizations
This is a template letter/e-mail that you can use to introduce yourself, and HAE, to other patient advocacy organizations in your country.
The template asks if the organization might consider posting information about HAE and hae day :-) to their channels, and if they might consider being involved in any activity you are planning.
